Safety Instructions

  • Only trained persons should operate this machine. Training should include operation under normal conditions, emergency situations and potential hazards.

  • Never reach into the machine for any reason until all components of the machine have come to a COMPLETE STOP.

  • Never alter or defeat the function of the safety features of the machine including safety interlocks, limit switches, guards and stopping devices.

  • Avoid entanglement. Do not wear jewelry, long hair or loose clothing when operating the machine. Remove rings, watches and ties, and secure long hair.

  • Before starting the machine check that all persons are clear of the work area, all guards are functioning and in place, the work area is free of debris or loose objects, and all tool holding and work holding devices are functioning and free of damage.

  • Only use the machine for its intended purpose as described in the documentation. Do not modify the machine.

  • Do not use the machine in damp locations or use with corrosive or flammable materials.

  • Be sure cutting tools are sharp, clean, free of damage and properly secured. Handle cutting tools carefully.

  • Use cutting tools only for their intended purpose.

  • Keep the machine and work area clean. Keep tools, keys, adjusting wrenches and fixtures out of the work area when not in use.
